Medical Massage

Medical massage is deep tissue, orthopedic injury treatment bodywork that concentrates on the specific sites of a soft tissue injury to the body. The focus of medical massage is to increase the pain-free range of motion in the muscles and joints and to break up scar tissue and adhesions in the muscles and soft tissue caused by trauma. Medical massage is highly effective at returning your body to a pain-free state of balance after a trauma like an auto accident, and is most similar to physical therapy. It requires a doctor's prescription and authorization by your insurance carrier, as well as an insurance plan that includes massage therapy as an acceptable modality. I am only accepting automobile insurance and workers compensation cases. California health insurance policies do not cover massage therapy at this time.
